GRAND PRIZE: One (1) Grand Prize is available. The Grand Prize consists of: (i) economy roundtrip airfare for the Grand Prize winner (the “Winner”) and one (1) guest from any major International airport closest to their home within the 48 Continental United States (except Alaska and Hawaii); (ii) a two (2) night stay at The Queen Anne Hotel in San Francisco, California (one room, double occupancy) (iii) all air and hotel taxes. Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"): $3500. The trip must be taken between January 1st, 2011 and August 23rd, 2011. Once issued, prize letters and tickets are non-transferable. Odds of winning depend on number of valid entries received. This Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is being promoted on and entries are being accepted from the following Internet website: www.Travelpropromotions.com. The Winner is responsible for any transfers to and from the airport and to and from the hotel, applicable fees, checked baggage fees, service charges, surcharges or passenger facility charges and all insurance and for all federal, state, local and foreign taxes, if any, and for gratuities, meals, alcoholic beverages, incidentals and any other unspecified expenses associated with acceptance or use of the Grand Prize. Any taxes on prizes won will be the sole responsibility of the Winner. Prizes are provided “as is” and without any warranty of any kind. No substitution or transfer of prizes permitted except Travelpro International, Inc. ("Travelpro” or "Sponsor") reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute prize(s) of comparable value if any part of the Grand Prize listed is unavailable, in whole or in part, for any reason. 90-day advance reservation for both air and Hotel is required.
In the event that Winner cancels or changes any flight arrangements, Winner is responsible to communicate directly with CMC-Meridian at 800-822-2480 and is solely responsible directly to CMC-Meridian for any penalties or fees and fare difference. In the event that the airline cancels or changes any flight arrangements, Winner is responsible to communicate directly with the airline.
In the event that Winner changes or cancellations any part of the Hotel reservations, Winner must communicate such change or cancelation with CMC-Meridian at 800-822-2480 not less than ten days prior to booking, or result in loss of room and certificate. Such changes and cancellations will incur a $50 change fee plus any increase in cost of room. In the event that Hotel makes any change to the reservation, CMC will communicate such change with Winner. Blackout dates include Christmas week, Thanksgiving week and New Year week and restrictions are enforced. The Queen Anne Hotel is based on availability to CMC-Meridian and they have the right to substitute property of equal or greater value.
The Winner’s travel companion must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older, or if such travel companion is under the age of twenty-one (21), the Winner must be such minor’s parent or legal guardian, or travel with the written permission of such parent or legal guardian in form and substance acceptable to Sponsor in its sole discretion. In the event that the Winner's residence is close enough to San Francisco, California such that air transportation is deemed by Sponsor in its sole discretion to be unnecessary, the Grand Prize will not include air transportation from the Winner's residence and no other substitution or compensation will be provided in lieu thereof. The Winner and his or her travel companion must travel together on the same itinerary and must possess all required travel documents, including visas and valid passports, if and as applicable, and comply with any applicable check-in requirements, such as presentation of a major credit card. All aspects of the travel portions of any travel prize must be conducted on such dates as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. The dates of departure and return are subject to change at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Airfare may not include Passenger Facility Charge or September 11th Security Fee. Airline tickets are non-refundable/non-transferable. All airline tickets are subject to the vagaries of flight variation, work stoppages, and schedule or route changes. The ARV for travel prizes may vary depending upon points of departure and destination and fare fluctuations. Sponsor reserves the right to structure travel routes. The ARV for travel prizes is an estimate made before the Sweepstakes begins. The Winner will not receive cash or any other form of compensation if actual travel costs are less than the estimate made in these Official Rules. The round trip air transportation element for any travel prize begins and ends at the point of departure. Incidental charges and gratuities at The Queen Anne Hotel are not included in the Grand Prize and, if applicable, may be payable at the time of check-out by the Winner/guest. The Prize restrictions/conditions stated herein are not all-inclusive and the described above may be subject to additional restrictions/conditions, which may be stated in the "Prize Claim Documents" (as defined below) and/or other travel documents. In the event the Winner and/or his or her travel companion engages in behavior that, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, is obnoxious or threatening, illegal or that is intended to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate the trip or other applicable experience early, in whole or in part, and send the Winner and/or his or her travel companion home at their own expense, with no further compensation.
HOW TO ENTER: This Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 E.S.T. on June 15, 2010 and ends at 11:59 p.m. E.S.T. on August 1, 2010 (“Entry Period”). Eligible entrants may enter this Sweepstakes via the Internet by going to www.Travelpropromotions.com and completing the online entry form and submitting the form during the entry period - only one (1) entry per day per email address may be submitted. Entry must be sent by 11:59 p.m. on August 1, 2010. All entries become the property of Travelpro. By participating in the Sweepstakes, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects.
ELIGIBILITY: United States law governs this Sweepstakes. This Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the United States excluding residents of the State of Rhode Island. Entrants must be 21 years of age or older at the time of entry. Officers, directors, employees and independent representatives of Travelpro, The Queen Anne Hotel and CMC-Meridian and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, retailers, advertising/promotion agencies (all such individuals and entities collectively referred to herein as the "Promotion Entities") and each of their immediate family and household members are not eligible to enter the Sweepstakes or win a prize. This Sweepstakes is void wherever prohibited or restricted by law. Travelpro reserves the right to verify eligibility qualifications of any Winner. The Queen Anne Hotel and CMC-Meridian are not responsible for the collection, submission or processing of entries, the administration of the Sweepstakes or the selection of Winners.
DRAWING: The Winner will be determined in a random drawing conducted by Sponsor from among all eligible online entries electronically sent through the Internet by 11:59 p.m. E.S.T. on August 1, 2010. The drawing shall take place on or about August 23rd, 2010 and will take place under the supervision of an independent Judging Organization whose decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to this “SAN FRANCISCO GETAWAY” Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. Winner will receive notification by mail and Email or mail and telephone using the information provided at the time of entry on or before September 6, 2010, (“Notification”). The potential winner will be required to claim his or her prize within 10 days of Notification and will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and, where imposing such condition is legal, a Publicity Release (the "Prize Claim Documents") and returning the Prize Claim Documents to the address stated in the Prize Claim Documents. Travel companion of the Winner must sign and return a Liability Release within the same five (5) days. If the Prize Claim Documents are not returned within ten (10) days, the Winner will have waived any claim to the prize and an alternate Winner may be selected. WINNER INFORMATION: By entering, each participant agrees to release and hold Travelpro, The Queen Anne Hotel and CMC-Meridian and each of its parent, subsidiary and affiliate companies harmless from and against any and all claims, actions and/or liability for any and all costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind including, without limitation, death and bodily injury, due in whole or in part, indirectly or directly, from participant’s participation in and/or entry into the Sweepstakes or any Sweepstakes related activity, or from participant’s or acceptance, receipt, possession and/or use of any prize and for any claims based on publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery. If, in the judges’ opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Sweepstakes, the judges reserve the right to terminate the entry period at their discretion and conduct a random drawing to award the prize using all the online entries received prior to the termination date.
